Who Are We?

The Franciscan Youth was born in Lebanon around the year 1980, due to the enthusiasm of Franciscan religious men and women and lay people.
Since we are young lay Franciscans, we want to follow Francis in his love for Christ and the brothers. Like him, we want to have the Gospel as guide, Eucharist as centre of our life, the small and the poor as brothers, and the Church as mother.
We want to realise of Project life through our weekly meetings, Gospel study group, moments of adoration and spiritual retreats,… But also through our recreation moments, since, like Francis, we believe that recreation moments too are witness of Franciscan joy. These are very varied: feasts, dinners, films projections, excursions and sports games.
Our summer camps are a very important occasion for a spiritual and Franciscan formation, and for incrementing our fraternal life.
Responding to the Pope’s call that he addressed to the Lebanese young people, to "be sowers of God’s word among other young people", we bring the Good News to all our brothers and sisters surrounding us. This is our privileged way of witnessing our Franciscan joy.

To destroy the walls that separate us from God
